In simple terms the Elders Group at KMAB is a place where people come together to share a meal…but it is much, much more than that…it is also about providing people with opportunities for social contact and activities.

The Elders Group also provide a very important way of supporting older people by helping them to remain independent within the context of our own community

The Elders Group is:
A place where members of the community, particularly older or vulnerable people, come together to share a meal
Run by volunteers from our  community group
Somewhere to have social contact and meet with friends and community members

A Lunch Club may also provide:
The opportunity to take part in other activities e.g. craftwork, board games book reading
Access to information or advice
A forum for organising other community activities such as day trips

Timings and dates for the next Elders Group event can be found on our Calendar page
