Electricity and Power Supply Project
Following the devastating cyclone that hit the Kokan region recently and the severe COVID lockdown, Kokni Muslim Association Birmingham has helped to deliver generators and electricity provisions, Alhamdulillah.
This will help the villages and the Masaajid with their electricity supply that is used for lighting and drawing water for drinking and for their wudhu facilities.
A total of 10 villages were accommodated across Ratnagiri and Raigad district. One generator was also provided to a local disaster rescue team – The Salunke team – who are helping rescue people during floods and other emergencies.
The villages that we covered are Visapur, Mungeez, Dabat, Lathwan, Zamge, Madina Mohalla, Tire, Divegar, Gudgaon, Wadwalli, and of course the Salunke team.
We would like to thank all our donors and our delivery partners who have done a superb job during these testing times, in particular, Dr. Mubashir Jamadar and his entire team, Jazakallah Khair.
As many of our members have families in these villages, the President and Secretary of KMAB decided to undertake a little project to supply generators or money towards the same. This was initiated, strategised, funded, and executed by our team.
Once again Jazakallah Khair to all our donors who have stood with us during these tough times.
P.S – If you want to be part of this exciting process to help your local village then please do come forward.
